A big week for Manilla Solar Project

This week was a huge for the Manilla Solar Project.

Our president Emma, her daughter Jules, along with Providence Asset Group CEO Henry Sun and Chief Technical Officer Llewellyn Owens, and representatives from the University of New South Wales were invited to meet with Minister for Energy and Environment Matt Kean, as he announced a $3.5 Million grant for the Manilla Solar Project, for an innovative hydrogen battery storage system. The battery was developed by UNSW and H2Store.

It will allow our project to store solar energy for up to six hours!

No wonder we are all smiling!

A wonderful week for Manilla, the community and the environment.
It shows that people who work together for a common goal can achieve anything!
Many thanks go to our dedicated committee, and our partners at Providence Asset Group, and the NSW Govt Regional Community Energy Fund.

The project is having a stall at the Manilla Show this Saturday.  We are celebrating the announcement with local member Kevin Anderson at around 2pm. We invite you all to come and say g’day and share the joy of this fantastic news.

We will be on hand to answer any questions about the project, the battery, power purchasing and community investment.

Our monthly progress meeting is on Monday 15th March at the Royal Hotel Manilla.
We welcome you all to attend to learn how the project is progressing.  Please feel free to share with interested friends and family.

We hope to see you in the near future.
